Bartholin's Cyst/Abscess

Bartholin's cyst or abscess affect up to 3 in 100 women and can be treated with antibiotics or with a small procedure/operation to drain the collection.

A Bartholin abscess forms when a small opening (duct) from the gland gets blocked. Fluid in the gland builds up and may become infected.
